Yesterday (Friday) I had minor Surgery. Now I cannot sleep and am trying to tire my brain. I am pinching this idea from http://jordanandeddie.wordpress.com/ I enjoyed reading theirs, so here is mine……..
1. First movie you remember seeing at the cinemas?
I think it was The Sound of Music and rather than a Cinema it was in our local Town Hall. I also recall seeing Star Wars at the Drive In……I honestly cannot remember the first movie I saw in an actual Cinema!
2. You’re granted a 3 course meal of your choice what is it?
Australian King Prawns in a 70’s Style Cocktail, loaded with crispy lettuce, juicy prawns, ripe avocado and lashings of Thousand Island Dressing, garlicky ciabatta on the side. Followed by a trimmed, tender well done (yes, it can happen) Porterhouse Steak (Angus Beef) with Green Peppercorn Sauce, garlic and chive potato mash, asparagus with parmesan, complimented by a Grant Burge Balthasar Shiraz. Maggie Beer Chocolate with Salted Caramel Ice Cream for sweets and a good strong Cappucino.
3. Movie you’ve watched more than any other?
American Beauty is my winner here……tough call as I watch so many over and over….my top five would also include, The Usual Suspects, The Social Network, The Breakfast Club and Vantage Point.
4. Favourite actor?
No question here: Kevin Spacey…..perfection! (Actress would be Viola Davis)
5. Least favourite actor?
Christian Bale. (I agree with Jordan on this one)…….(Actress is Gwyneth Paltrow)
6. Your sport of choice?
First of all, I don’t play….I did once, play Netball, but…well…..not anymore. I like to watch Ice Hockey…I have no idea what they are doing but I like it rough, so…….AFL is good when the Teams are matched well, I like watching the Grand Slam Tennis matches……
7. Your favourite TV show?
The West Wing. Nothing comes close except maybe The Newsroom or House of Cards or Criminal Minds or ER or Parks and Recreation or The Vicar of Dibley or Millenium or The Professionals or Twin Peaks (season 1)……anyway, I like good TV.
8. Dream job?
Food Stylist/Photographer……too old to do the travel the world and photograph thing…..I want to be near my husband and my home.
9. Coffee, addicted or not?
Not…..I was actually caffeinne free for several years in an attempt to curb my insomnia, but now as I embrace said insomnia, I am enjoying coffee again…..but I don’t need it!
10. Board game of choice?
Trivial Pursuit….but we play the easy game show rules…….I generally always win…….we don’t play it much these days…..
11. All-time favourite video game?
Not a Gamer……I hate fighting anything or shooting etc…..boring, I know. I used to play The Sims……currently having a bit of a play with Banished. Yep, very not cool!
12. Your ideal holiday?
I seek quiet……..later this year, the plan is to visit country Victoria (Australia) for our 25th Anniversary…….I also seek beaches, BUT in Winter time…….I am a sun avoider!
13. Which director has affected you more than any other?
I think anyone that can bring together a story is a legend in my book……but I do have a fondness for David Fincher.
14. Least favourite director? Easy, Woody Allen. I just don’t get it.
15. Pizza of choice?
Supreme, with all the salty stuff…..anchovies, olives, spicy pepperoni, jalapenos, cracked black pepper…….if you are ever in Barossa Valley, South Australia, go to Angaston and visit Roaring 40’s…..ask for the Publican Special, tell them the Dunks’ sent ya…..you won’t be disappointed! http://www.40scafe.com.au/thepizzathepublican/
16. If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be?
I really like where I live (Barossa Valley), but in this Country my choice would be Canberra (yes, I know, don’t judge me) or in UK it would be in Oxford or in America it would be Seattle.
17. Alright the big question – how many DVDS/Blu Rays would you say you have in your collection?
We keep a catalogue, just checked and we have 1175. This includes TV Series, each Season counts as 1 (so clearly a load more actual discs). I also have all but about 3 of the Best Picture Oscar Winners……..a collection of which I am immensely proud!
So, why not write a similar list……?
Thanks again to Jordan and Eddie for the idea! Visit their Blog.
When I was a freshman at Texas A&M University in September 1973, my roommate in the dorm drank coffee, breakfast, morning, midmorning, lunch, afternoon, late afternoon, supper, evening, late evening, night, midnight. One day he asked me if I would like a cup. It always smelled so good, so I said yes. I had one swallow and that was enough to put me off of coffee for the rest of my life. How something can smell so good and taste so nasty is beyond explanation.

LOL….that must have been some BAD coffee!!! I am assuming you have tried it since? Good coffee is great, bad coffee is awful…..I certainly enjoy it (we have a Nespresso Machine) but can live without it…in fact, I have not had any today! I love Tea and am a fan of Breakfast Teas…..not so much the fragrant ones….also love Hot Chocolate or when it is cold a Chai Hot Chocolate is delish! I could never consume the amount that your roomie did!! Thanks for popping by…..have a lovely Easter Weekend. 😀
